Our interdisciplinary research community is primarily based on a collaboration between Staff from the Bioengineering Unit at the University of Starthclyde, staff from the School of Health & Social Care at Glasgow Caledonian University and Staff from Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS.
In the December 2008 RAE our group was recognised as of international quality and HealthQWest as the leading research consortium for Rehabilitation Research in the UK

The work of the Community is clustered into four sub groups
The community boasts:
- Access to state-of-the art human performance laboratories.
- Expertise in human performance measurement including human movement and exercise physiology.
- Expertise in a wide range of investigative methods relevant to musculoskeletal research in health and disease.
- An emerging portfolio of clinically based research programmes linked to key national and international health issues.
The community has strong links to a wide range of stakeholders including consumers of health. We also collaborate with other leading national and international research groups.
